This course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age. Course offering choices: National Safety Council, American Heart Association or American Red Cross
This course trains professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This course has been updated to meet the current ECC guidelines. This course teaches those with a job duty to act, such as professional rescuers, healthcare, medical and public safety workers, the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies including one-and two-rescuer CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), CPR and bag-valve-masks and other basic life support procedures. Through the American Red Cross is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. This course is a 1-2 hour instructor lead course. This class can be done either face to face or online training.
Through the American Red Cross provides individuals a foundation of first aid principles and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response. This includes wilderness and remote environments, including urban disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes. Participants must have had prior adult CPR/AED certification (or the equivalent) and be at least 14 years of age on or before the last scheduled session of the course. This course is an 8-16 hour instructor lead course.
Provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old. This course is a 5-6 hour instructor lead course.

Designed for supervisors to be able to recognize, evaluate and control hazards in their workplaces that may cause slips, trips and falls. Supervisors also will learn to identify and implement a system to prevent slips, trips and falls.
We offer a variety of continuing education for Emergency Medical Technicians.
While Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) does not provide state licensure or certification as an Emergency Medical Responder, this course is ideal for high school and college-aged students to receive training similar to the training EMS professionals receive as they look to enter careers in healthcare, public safety, or law enforcement.
